Warm up for Rotational Activity by Activating your trunk muscles thru rotational movements

Physiotherapists are  well aware of the hazards of trunk rotation in activities of daily living.  Incorporating movement patterns which activate the muscles of your trunk thru rotational movements is important for rotational sports and activities. When a split stance is taken such during most dynamic sports or a single arm is utilized in a movement pattern, rotation becomes a part of that movement pattern. Golf  and racket sports may be the obvious rotational activities because the upper body moves moves first, however activities where the lower body initiates rotation such as walking and running are also rotational.
