Our Therapy Consultation

The testimonials of our patients show the level of professionalism and care we provide. When you work with us, you can expect consistent attention from us with every visit. During our consultation, we will discuss with you in-depth your current symptoms and take a detailed medical history record that covers your medical conditions and medications.

We will also perform a physical examination to help identify the root cause of your problem, if you have any limitations, and what activities make your symptoms worse or improve. Once we have recorded your specifications, we will put together a plan to restore function and minimize pain for you. Our aim is to offer you a holistic treatment that will resolve your aches and pains without any negative impact. We will build a program so you can get back to enjoying an active lifestyle!

The Process

If physiotherapy seems foreign and confusing to you, you can rest easy, as it is very similar to what you'd expect from a doctor's appointment. If this is your first visit to Healthfx Physiotherapy, our talented therapists will establish a history and gather information on whatever discomfort you are currently suffering from, and what the cause of it may be.

The physical exam will generally focus around your mobility, i.e., your range of motion and ability to perform the tasks presented to you. This can, at times, feel stressful. A repetitive motion on a sensitive area may be required to make a proper diagnosis.

After the exam the diagnosis and plan of action will be presented to you. In many cases we begin therapy immediately. But don’t be concerned if this is not the case. When you come in for your next appointment our work together will start.

Your therapist will always make a point to get to know you and your personal goals for recovery so that you are in control every step of the way.

Benefits Of Healthfx Physiotherapy’s Physiotherapy

Healthfx Physiotherapy’s physiotherapy focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. With the help of our accomplished therapy, our clients can reap a multitude of benefits, including the following:

Pain Relief

Pain is the body’s way of signaling the brain that something is not working correctly in a particular section of the system. When some people resort to pills to kill the pain, this only numbs the symptom for a short period of time. We believe in a holistic approach whereby we learn about the root cause of the pain and find proven methods to overcome them.

We can aid in alleviating pains and aches caused by disorders and injuries in the muscular and skeletal systems. By utilizing a variety of therapies, such as exercise therapy, we are able to make the affected area get a higher level of function. This reverted utility makes the impacted portion work better and subsequently hurt less over time.

Reverse or Prevent Atrophy

One of the adverse effects of injuries, disorders, and surgeries is that they can create an enormous level of discomfort in certain portions of the body. Whether it’s pain or reduced mobility, the body can get set in its ways and gravitate towards only comfortable functioning. This can result in atrophy – a process in which a portion of the body becomes unused and consequently loses function and mobility.

We have a series of physical therapies that can undergo to reverse or prevent atrophy from settling into the body. We also provide guidance to patients on how to maintain an active lifestyle to prevent it from occurring in the first place or in the future.

Faster Recovery

When you have to deal with injuries or the aftermath of surgery, it can put you in a tough spot. On the one hand, you need adequate rest and relaxation to recover. On the other hand, your condition can deteriorate if you don’t provide sufficient movement to the affected parts in the long run.

We learn about your condition, its severity, and how it’s impacting you. Once we have taken note of this, we prescribe exercises that don’t strain you too much but also give you an active recovery treatment. We help our patients regain their performance abilities quicker.

Increased Mobility and Flexibility

We work with clients through various strategies to increase their mobility and flexibility. We can achieve this by widening the range of motion of their muscles and joints. Here, we design exercises that focus on strengthening and stretching for recovery.

Improve Strength and Balance

We are committed to improving our patients’ strength and balance through our therapy so they can effectively revert to their normal level of functionality. Our treatment can also help them reduce the risk of future injuries. We apply resistance training and other forms of exercise to build muscle strength and enhance their ability to balance and stabilize their body.

Enhance Quality of Life

We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of every individual that walks through our doors. Sustaining physically debilitating disorders shouldn’t mean what you get out of life should be any less. We work alongside you every step of the way with patience and empathy to make the best out of your state. With our help, you can get back to regular life faster and reap its benefits.

The symptoms can vary, just as the tolerance levels and the duration of recovery. We know that every individual needs a personalized level of treatment to get their body back up to snuff. And that is what we’re here to provide.

As opposed to offering cookie-cutter therapy sessions, we mold our treatment to work for you individually. We sit down with you to learn about your ailment, all its specificities, and your habits and goals. Afterward, we connect the dots between your needs and our offerings.

We tailor a physical therapy regimen that works for your illness, increase or decrease its intensity based on your goals and schedule it around your availability. We will recommend a winning combination of massage therapy, self-treatment exercises, corrective strategies, or physical training for your benefit. Our staff will design their solution to cater to your specifications for successful results.
